Hello! My name is Audrey and I am a junior at The Ohio State University pursing a duel degree in English literature and strategic communication. I am also working toward a certificate in science and environmental communication.

Writing has always been my passion, and there is nothing I find more intellectually stimulating than creatively finding ways to communicate and problem solve. My love of storytelling started as a child, and I have always been enthralled with the power words and great prose can hold, a passion I still hold today. On top of that, my love for the outdoors has fostered a passion for sustainability and community building. I hope to one day work for an agency or organization with strong values I can align myself with. â€‹

As an avid learner always looking for ways to get involved, I had the ability to build my communication skills in real world, professional experiences. My work with the Ohio Division of Forestry and the Ohio State Department of English has allowed me to craft informational and promotional content for audiences of more than 25,000 across LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Instagram. As vice president of writing for Fisher Ink Magazine, I guide peers in developing effective interview questions and writing for diverse audiences using Associated Press Style. Then, as Publicist for Mountaineers at Ohio State, I have gained hands-on public relations experience by managing the club’s Instagram account, coordinating internal communications, and publicizing speaker events and Columbus’s only showing of Reel Rocks, an annual traveling film festival, where I draft press releases, create engaging Instagram ads and plan to pitch the event to local media.

With my strong writing foundation and dedication to producing results I can be proud of, I am eager to see how I can contribute to the communications field. I am always looking for new opportunities to connect and grow my skills professionally.
